Vashon Sheepdog Classic
We know that there has been much anticipation about the state of the Vashon Sheepdog Classic and we very much appreciate your patience!
Unfortunately, we can confirm there will be no event in June 2024.
As we work to reorganize the event, there is a chance of a classic old-fashioned "bare-bones" competition for less environmental impact on the beautiful field. We will post updates to our website and social media platforms if this option becomes available.
We appreciated the community’s feedback and participation in the King County meeting and survey that was held in Spring 2023. As the County determines what to do with the field, we know we have community support both locally and internationally.
Thank you for your patience and willingness to join us on the next sheepdog adventure whenever it does occur.

About the Classic
Enjoy the fascinating world of the working sheepdog on beautiful Vashon Island. The Vashon Sheepdog Classic is the most attended herding competition event on the West Coast and is held on the breathtaking rolling meadows of Wax Orchard Property.

The Vashon Sheepdog Classic gifts the proceeds from the event to island nonprofit organizations that focus on the enrichment of education and health for Vashon.
