Artists Crook - Linda Morgan Compton
Crook Name: In the Spirit of the Ram
My roots run deep here on Vashon. My family homesteaded here in the late 1800's. Nature has always driven my creativity. No matter what my source material is rock, wire, ivory, paper, and now wood. I feel that all things have their own spirit energy. I let that energy guide my creativity. The Ram on my crook represents strength and stability, his eyes are black stone a type of jasper which is an earth element and has a grounding energy. The wheat on the staff represents growth, renewal, regeneration, and prosperity.
